Dr. Edwin L. Holland, DDS
Dr. Holland has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry since 1970! He earned his AB degree from Western Maryland College in Westminster and his dental degree from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Holland practiced dentistry for two years in the US Air Force Dental Corps, and is a lifetime member in the Florida Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Outside the office, he enjoys giving back to his community by participating with community events and groups such as the local Chamber of Commerce, Tourist Development Council, Salvation Army, church board, little league and more. In his spare time, Dr. Holland enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with his wife, Vickery, and their two sons, Michael and Steven.
Dr. Edgar L. Pichardo, DMD
Dr. Pichardo has been delivering the highest quality dental care to the patients of his community for nearly 15 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and Dental Degree from the University of Florida at Gainesville and is an active member in many top dental organizations, such as the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Society, and the Hernando County Dental Association. Dr. Pichardo has attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics, and the L. D. Pankey Institute. He also gives back to his community and abroad by participating in mission trips through the Christian Dental Society with the University of Florida, Earthquake Relief through Coprodeli USA, the Metropolitan Ministry Free Dental Care to Underprivileged in Citrus County, and the Mobile Dental Bus. In his spare time he enjoys all sports, and spending time with his family and friends.

Life & Hobbies
After training and working for several years in the northern United States, Dr. Shields truly appreciates the sunshine and warm weather in Florida. In her free time she likes to spend time with family, paint (watercolor) and exercise her mind with a good book.

Jen, Office Manager
Jen has been in several areas of the dental field for 33 years and the last 16 years with Citrus Dental. Jen started at Citrus Dental as Dr. Pichardo's assistant then moved to the Office manger position. She enjoys assisting Dr. Pichardo at some volunteer charity events in our community. Jen and her family have lived in Citrus County for 20 years an enjoy boating and spending time their family.
Irene, Assistant
Irene started her career in Dentistry in 1997. When she is not at work you will find her in the kitchen baking. She enjoys all outdoor activities like riding a motorcycle, boating and yes even snow. She feels everyday is a gift from God.
Kaitlyn, Assistant
Kaitlyn is a native Floridian, born and raised in Citrus County. She loves getting to know her patients and helping them achieve their best smile. Outside of the office she enjoys traveling, reading, being out in nature and spending time with family.
Kaylie,Assistant
Kaylie has lived in Morriston Fl all her life. When she is not working, she enjoys swimming, spending time outdoors and drawing. She has two dogs, Violet and Terdy. Kaylie has been a dental assistant for 5 12 years.
Caryn, Assistant
Caryn, our newest addition to the Citrus Dental staff, has been a dental assistant locally for over twenty years. She is the mother of four girls and enjoys fishing, boating, and being outdoors.
Kristan, Hygienist
A lifelong resident of Citrus County, Kristan is a dedicated Dental Hygienist having graduated from Santa Fe College Dental Hygiene Program in 2008. She is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and helping others maintain their oral health. Outside of her professional career, she is a devoted wife and mother to four kids. She and her husband enjoy traveling and looking forward to the many adventures with their family.
Melissa T., Hygienist
Melissa graduated in 2001 from Citrus High School and some of her family still resides in Citrus County. She started her career as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2009 and then decided to further her education as a Dental Hygienist in 2011. If she is not working, Melissa spends her time with her precious 4 year old daughter, Ellie.
Aimee, Hygienist
Aimee is a Florida native with over 20 years of experience in dental hygiene. She earned her degree from Pasco-Hernando State College and has dedicated her career to providing compassionate and thorough care for her patients. She strives to create a comfortable and positive experience, forming lasting connections with those she treats. Outside the office, she enjoys yoga and spending time with her family, embracing a balanced and active lifestyle.
Jeannie Edgerton
Jeannie is originally from upstate New York where she began her dental career as a dental assistant. She moved to Citrus County in 1993. Jeannie has a great passion and enthusiasm for dentistry and enjoys putting her patients at ease. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, as well as outdoor activities along the Nature Coast.
Tammy, Administration
Tammy has been in the dental industry for 18 years. She loves to see the joy patients have when we give them a beautiful smile. She has lived in Williston FL since 1982 and loves living in the small-town atmosphere. When not working Tammy enjoys spending time with her daughter, with her two dogs and family and friends. Tammy also enjoys dancing and watching old movies.
Melissa, Administration
Melissa is originally from Maine and has been in dentistry in Citrus County since 2011. She enjoys spending time with her son and three black cats, PC gaming, cooking and reading. Once a year she spends a week in Maine catching up with her family. She is excited to be part of the team at Citrus Dental.
